I like the imagery from Psalms where God shelters us (such as 17:8, 36:7, 57:1, 63:7, 91:4). It's one of those things that gets jumbled up in my head when I'm trying to pray out loud.
But I'm surprised you didn't pick on "silence" as part of a vocal prayer!
Well, it might fit as a verb in another Psalms-oriented sense, e.g., "O LORD, that you would silence my enemies, and strike dumb the wicked..."
I like that; QWN wasn't amused when I sent him Psalm 58. At this point, I wish the LORD would silence my friends!
