Good Friday

Well not as good as it might be, since I'm on call tonight. "Holy Saturday" will probably feel about right - all day at the hospital.

This cartoon is related to the anticipation of Holy Saturday: Mr. Miro's position "beyond the clouds" mirrors the ontological absence of Jesus after being placed in the tomb. Note also that Mai represents "the women" who were present throughout, even as the men (e.g., Dexter, Old Man Grumpus) are conspicuously absent.
